The Connected Difference

NATIONAL FOSTER CARE MONTH

Amidst the challenges of the foster care system, a team of dedicated individuals at Connected Foster Care, a private foster care agency in Arkansas, stepped up to make a difference in the lives of eight siblings in need.

Traci, a Connected Coach in the NW Region, received a call from a CPS supervisor about a sibling group of eight who was in dire need of placement due to severe neglect. Traci, who previously spent 28 years in education and felt called by the Lord to join Connected, was overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation. However, she quickly reached out to her supervisor and the rest of her local team for support.

Working tirelessly throughout the day, Traci and her fellow coaches managed to find placements for five of the eight children. Despite the challenges, including a child described as "verbal aggressive, feral, wild," a Connected family from the team stepped up to provide a loving home for this child. Despite initial difficulties, the foster family persevered, utilizing their training and support from Connected to care for the child.

Throughout the process, Traci felt supported by her team, who rallied together to ensure that no child was left without a placement. This collaboration between CPS and the private foster care agency resulted in two of the children finding placements through Connected.

The CPS worker expressed her gratitude to the team at Connected for their dedication and hard work in finding suitable homes for the siblings. Together, they demonstrated the power of collaboration and compassion in making a difference in the lives of children in need.

Despite the challenges and heartache involved in foster care, the team at Connected remains committed to their mission of building, strengthening, and restoring families for God’s glory. Through their diligence, this staff continues to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families across Arkansas.
