Recently, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible milestone with one of the mothers in our program—a testament to resilience, determination, and God’s faithfulness.
Overcoming Obstacles, One Step at a Time
This courageous mom recently graduated from Goodwill’s Transitional Employment Opportunity (TEO) program, which provides individuals with a criminal background the opportunity to gain skills, work experience, and a paid work-based training opportunity. At her graduation, she was described as resilient, hardworking, persistent, and willing to do anything for her kids. And those words could not be more true.
Her journey was not without challenges. From unexpected car troubles to caring for sick children—including a toddler with a broken leg—she faced numerous obstacles along the way. Yet, despite it all, she remained committed to showing up, working hard, and building a better life for her family.
A Milestone Moment
Her graduation day was more than just a ceremony; it marked another incredible achievement—two years of sobriety. 🙌 This milestone is a testament to her strength and the unwavering support of those around her, including her Family Care Resource Manager, who has walked alongside her through each challenge and victory.
Because of her outstanding performance in the TEO program, she was offered a full-time job with Goodwill—a life-changing opportunity that provides stability and a fresh start.
