The Hirons Family
After a long wait in foster care, a precious girl was given a forever family.
Although the Hirons had a desire to add a daughter to their home through adoption, they knew God was calling them to become foster parents and support the reunification of families. After much prayer, they were obedient to the Lord’s leading and took the steps to open as a foster family. As their Connected Caseworker was finishing the home study process, they learned about a little girl in need.
Little did they know how much their life would change.
The DCFS supervisor for the case made a referral to our Connected staff about a little girl close to her heart who had been in foster care for several years. Her parental rights had been terminated and she was in need of a stable, loving family.
Upon opening as a foster family, their now daughter was placed in their home and the bond was immediate. Foster Care Coordinator, Maggie Peeler shares, “It was literally a match made in heaven!” Because of their obedience to God’s call to foster, the Hirons were able to celebrate the adoption of their new daughter a few weeks ago. Now, this young girl has a stable environment and bright future. It was the Hirons dream come true to gain a daughter, and the girls dream come true to gain a family. The Hirons have given their daughter hope and a home, forever.
