What Are Desired Haven Communities?
Our program has traditionally been in context of our 3 Family Care Homes. However, the need to serve vulnerable families is greater than what our homes can care for and often, families simply need a support system rather than to move into a family care home. There are families at risk in every community of our state. We want to bring our ministry to your community by equipping your church to be family advocates.
Desired Haven Communities can be a church or an existing ministry, such as CWJC and pregnancy centers. We provide you with training and ongoing support for advocates within a DH Community.
Our goal is to provide you with the tools to serve vulnerable families within your own community.
How Can My Church Support Family Care Homes?
Is your church called to support the families of our family care homes rather than become a Desired Haven Community? We need churches who partner with our family care homes to:
Provide special events and holiday celebrations for our families
Adopt Family Suites to update when a new family moves in
Host drives for household supplies
